Inspired by the Bosch Parade in the Netherlands, The Hague Parade is a love letter to the water in the form of creative expression, collaboration, and community. The floating art parade hopes to inspire wonder, and bring to light the beautiful privilege we have living with the water. We speak so much on the fear surrounding sea-level rise and our city’s issues with flooding, but what if we were “to be like water” — to be fluid, to reach a state of acceptance— to dream and play and create with the water rather than against it? The parade is a beautiful dance between the arts and the sciences which will culminate at the once Norfolk Museum of Arts and Sciences, now The Chrysler Museum of Art.
